Rollavision

Survey, supply, fitting

Measured once, fitted quietly.

A good commercial blind job is mostly decided before manufacture. Rollavision checks the building, names the rooms, confirms the fabric and leaves the fitting day with blinds that sit straight and work cleanly.

Seven steps

How A Job Runs

  1. 01

    Email Rollavision

Email the site address, rough window count, photos if you have them and the room problem you want solved.

  2. 02

    Site Survey

Free within 25 miles of Leicester for commercial jobs over 6 blinds. Smaller surveys are £45 + VAT, credited against an order.

  3. 03

    Measured Quotation

You receive a room-by-room quotation with blind type, fabric notes, fitting method and exclusions made clear.

  4. 04

    Fabric Approval

Samples are confirmed before order so nobody discovers too late that the cloth is too dark, too open or too reflective.

  5. 05

    Manufacture

Typical lead time is 10-15 working days from signed quotation and deposit. Motorised or unusually large blinds are usually 20-25 working days.

  6. 06

    Fitting

Most normal office floors of 12-20 blinds take half a day to one full day, depending on access and fixing surfaces.

  7. 07

    Aftercare

Rollavision keeps fabric and room notes for repeat clients where possible, making later phases easier to match.

What Gets Checked Before A Price Is Trusted

Windows are rarely as square or empty as they look from the doorway. During survey we check recess depth, sill level, handles, vents, fire alarms, suspended ceiling edges, cable trays, trunking and whether furniture can be moved safely on the day.

The quote is then built around the room rather than a generic window size. That is why the minimum commercial order is £350 + VAT for supply and fit, and why same-day made-to-measure blinds are not promised. Measuring and manufacture are too important to rush.

Martin’s favourite part

The Fitting Day Matters Most

The fitting day is where the client decides whether we were worth calling. It is not just brackets and drills. It is arriving early enough to find the right entrance before reception gets busy. It is asking before moving a desk, lifting monitors rather than dragging cables, and putting things back close enough that the person returning from lunch does not have to rebuild their morning.

We label rooms in the order the quote was written, because a blind for Meeting Room 2 is not much use in Accounts even when the windows look similar. We keep old blinds stacked neatly if the client is arranging disposal, and we do not leave a trail of chain offcuts, screw boxes and cardboard in the corner for somebody else to clear. If we find a fixing that is weaker than expected, I would rather stop and explain it than force a bracket into a surface that will fail after three months.

I like fitting days because they show whether the measuring was honest. A clean fitting visit feels quiet. The blinds go up, the fabric drops level, the chains sit on the agreed side, and the rooms can carry on being rooms rather than a building site. That matters more to me than a glossy photograph of the finished window.

Access and evenings

Occupied Offices Need Planning

Out-of-hours fitting is available Monday to Thursday evenings at £38 + VAT per fitter per hour. It is useful when desks are full during the day or when drilling would interrupt clinics, training rooms or call teams.

Before fitting, clients should confirm parking or loading, access times, room names, alarm procedures and whether desks can be moved. If a permit, induction or lift booking is needed, it should be arranged before the day.

Plain refusals

Work We Politely Turn Down

  • Single domestic bedroom or bathroom blind jobs, unless they are for an existing commercial client
  • Curtains, shutters and external awnings
  • Mains electrical wiring for motorised blinds
  • High-level atrium work needing rope access or specialist scaffolding unless the client already has access arranged
  • Same-day made-to-measure blinds, because accurate measuring and manufacture should not be rushed
