Specification first
The right blind disappears into the working day.
A commercial blind has to solve a specific room problem. Too much glare on screens. Too much visibility from the pavement. Too much light for a projector. Rollavision measures the window, checks the room and prices the fabric that suits the use.
Roller blinds
Commercial Roller Blinds
Best for general office shading, staff rooms, reception areas and leased spaces that need clean, repeatable window covering. We check whether face-fix or recess-fix is right, where the chain should sit and whether the sill, handle or trunking will interrupt the drop.
- Supplied and fitted from £86-£165 + VAT per window
- Dim-out, light-filtering, wipeable and flame-retardant fabrics available
- Bottom bars, chain lengths and brackets specified for daily commercial use
Screen fabric
Glare Control Without Closing The Room
Screen fabrics are usually the right answer when monitors are the problem but daylight still matters. A 3% openness fabric cuts more glare and view-through. A 5% fabric is the usual office middle ground. A 10% fabric keeps the room lighter and more open, but gives less control when the sun is direct.
- Office screen roller blinds from £118-£210 + VAT per window
- Useful for south and west facing workstations, studios and training rooms
- Fabric choice depends on screen position, window direction and privacy needs
Blackout and dim-out
Rooms That Need Controlled Light
Meeting rooms, clinics, classrooms and presentation spaces need more than a dark cloth. We look at side gaps, top gaps, sill lines and whether a cassette or side channel is worth the extra cost. Where total darkness is not realistic, we say so before the order is placed.
- Blackout roller blinds from £135-£245 + VAT per window
- Dim-out cloth for rooms that need lower light rather than cinema darkness
- Cassette systems available where the opening and budget justify them
Vertical blinds
Practical Blinds For Large Runs
Vertical blinds still make sense in leased offices, clinics and long runs of practical windows where slat angle is useful. We supply and fit replacement tracks, weights and hangers where the existing system is worth keeping.
- Vertical blinds supplied and fitted from £92-£155 + VAT per window
- Good for adjustable privacy on ground floors and meeting rooms
- Plain commercial fabrics that do not fight the room finish
Motorised blinds
Motorisation With The Wiring Made Clear
Motorised roller blinds suit larger windows, boardrooms, training rooms and phased fit-outs where control matters. Rollavision supplies and fits the blinds and controls, but does not carry out mains electrical wiring. If power is required, a qualified electrician needs to provide it before or alongside our fitting visit.
- Motorised roller blinds from £385-£720 + VAT per blind
- Lead time usually 20-25 working days
- 50% deposit on motorised work
Parts and repairs
Small Faults Before They Become Broken Blinds
Chains, brackets, bottom bars and tired vertical components can often be replaced without changing every blind in a room. The first repair visit starts from £65 + VAT, then parts at cost plus fitting.
- Replacement chains, brackets and bottom bars
- Re-tensioning and travel adjustment
- Honest advice when an older blind is not worth saving

Choose The Blind By What The Room Is Doing
Start With Screen Fabric
For computer glare, Rollavision usually samples 3%, 5% and 10% screen cloth on site so the facilities team can see the trade-off between view, brightness and control.
Use Angle, Opacity Or Both
Verticals suit rooms where people want to adjust sightlines during the day. Dim-out rollers are better where a clean, consistent look matters more.
Mind The Edges
Blackout fabric helps, but side gaps decide whether a room feels properly controlled. We check the opening before promising a result.
Reduce Solar Gain Sensibly
Internal blinds can reduce heat and glare, but they are not external solar control. Screen fabric and reflective backing can help when specified honestly.
Spend Where It Changes Use
Standard commercial rollers are usually the best value. Spend more on motorisation, cassette work or specialist fabrics only where the room needs it.
Plain refusals
What We Do Not Take On
Rollavision does not fit curtains, shutters or external awnings. We do not take single domestic bedroom or bathroom blind jobs unless they are for an existing commercial client. We also avoid high-level atrium work needing rope access or specialist scaffolding unless the client already has safe access arranged.
