Repairs and aftercare

A good blind should be serviceable.

Commercial blinds live in real rooms. Chains get pulled too hard, brackets loosen, bottom bars get knocked by chairs and vertical weights disappear. Rollavision repairs what is worth repairing and says plainly when replacement is the better spend.

Common repairs

The Faults We See Most Often

01

Chains And Controls

Snapped chains, loose chain guides, stiff operation and blinds that travel unevenly across the tube.

02

Brackets And Fixings

Slipping brackets, tired plugs, blinds pulled out of weak plasterboard and fixings that need relocating.

03

Bottom Bars And Verticals

Bent bottom bars, tired vertical weights, missing hangers and slats that no longer turn together.

Facilities guidance

Small Habits Keep Blinds Working Longer

Clean fabric with a soft brush or low suction vacuum rather than soaking the cloth. Do not force a blind that stops halfway, especially if a handle, plant or cable is catching the bottom bar. If several people use the same meeting room, keep the chain side clear and make sure the chain guide is not being used as a hook.

When logging a fault, include the room name, floor, blind type and a photograph of the bracket or chain. A simple room number often saves a second visit, especially on phased office floors where several blinds were fitted at different times.

Annual check

For Offices With 25 Or More Blinds

Leicester sites can book an annual blind check from £220 + VAT. Rollavision checks operation, chain safety, brackets, bottom bars and obvious fabric damage, then prices any parts before work is carried out.

  • Useful for clinics, schools, managed offices and landlords
  • Room notes updated where possible
  • Minor adjustments grouped into one planned visit

Repair or replace

When Saving An Old Blind Stops Making Sense

A chain or bracket repair is usually sensible when the fabric is clean, the tube is sound and the blind still suits the room. Replacement is often better when the cloth is sun-faded, the blind is the wrong size, the controls are unsafe or several components are failing at once.

Rollavision will not dress a tired blind as a bargain if it is likely to fail again soon. For repeat clients, we check old fabric and room notes where possible so replacement blinds match previous phases closely.

Aftercare promise

Room Notes Are Kept For The Next Phase

Where possible, Rollavision keeps records of fabric ranges, openness choices, room names and control sides for repeat commercial clients. It means a later meeting room or new office bay can be matched without starting from nothing.
